Paromolopsis boasi ist eine Krabbenart aus der Überfamilie Homoloidea und einziger Vertreter der Gattung Paromolopsis.cite-ref-worms-1-0[1] Sie bewohnt den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 284 und 1124 m im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik und in der gemäßigten Klimazone Australasiens.cite-ref-poore-2-0[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax von Paromolopsis boasi wird bis zu 43 mm lang und hat eine glatte Oberfläche. Der vordere und hintere Seitenrand sind glatt. Das Pseudorostrum (Dorn beidseits des Rostrums, also des mittigen Fortsatzes vorn) ist sehr klein und etwa so lang wie der Überaugendorn. Das Grund- und Endglied des Augenstiels und die Cornea sind kurz und zylindrisch.cite-ref-poore-2-1[2]
